ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Our Commitment
Jam With A Cop (JWAC) provides police departments with the tools and funding necessary to implement our innovative community service program.
We are a nonprofit organization that promotes collaborative partnerships between law enforcement agencies and their communities through the use of mentoring, by teaching music to at-risk kids.
Donations
Jam With A Cop would not be able to help hundreds of children each year without the generous support of our donors. Simply put, we would not exist without their help. To help more kids, more police officers, and more communities we need your help.
We are a volunteer run organization; we do not have any paid staff and our overhead is extremely low. Your contribution will provide direct support to our program participants.
Jam With A Cop is in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) status.
Our Program
Our primary goal is to work with police departments to provide free music education to children that live in violent, high crime, and at-risk neighborhoods. We aim to decrease violent crime by providing positive mentors and teachers to at-risk children.
JWAC will provide musical instruments to the children through donations from the public and corporations. Donations can be made by donating instruments directly to JWAC or by financial contributions.
Local police departments will identify and focus on at-risk neighborhoods (e.g., apartment complexes). The police departments will seek officers and other employees to volunteer on a regular basis to mentor and teach music to children. JWAC will hire local music instructors to help officers teach the children.
PASSION. COMMUNITY. MUSIC.
SUCCESS FOR THE COMMUNITY
Jam With A Cop brings police officers and children together to build strong relationships. Officers serve as positive role models to the children as they teach not only music but also positive core values, leading to lifelong benefits to the community.
